Lagos Meet launches new editorial platform to showcase and spotlight Nigerian creators
On the new editorial website, you can search for creators or their projects grouped by discipline and you can also submit a project of your own to be featured on the platform
Lagos Meet, a leading creative community of professional creators in Lagos, has launched a brand-new editorial to showcase and put the spotlight on Nigerian creators.
The Lagos Meet editorial, which was launched on October 1 to commemorate Nigeria’s Independence Day celebration, is a website that is dedicated to showcasing projects made by Nigerian creators across art, programming, fashion design, UI/UX and more. “Our editorial allows anyone around the world to find talented Nigerian creators and their projects,” the announcement notes. “More people should be inspired by the references and stories that we capture in the work we do as Nigerians. We need to tell more of our stories and the Lagos Meet editorial was designed to do just this.”
This new website, which serves as a directory and repository of projects by Nigerian creators, builds on Lagos Meet’s effort of showcasing Nigerian Creators to inspire excellence and professionalism. “For the rest of the year, we will be showcasing projects from talented Nigerian creators, from art and industrial design to software development projects,” Lagos Meet shared in July. “What we really want to show is how Nigerian creatives contribute to both local and international projects.”
It added; “Nigeria is a creative hub, known for its musical geniuses and famous artists. Home to exceptional and amazing talents in the world, and we desire to make it easy for people to find these projects in one place. Our features will let everyone see how these projects were made and learn about the creators and their teams.”

On the new editorial website, you can search for creators or their projects grouped by discipline, Lagos Meet notes, and you can also submit a project of your own to be featured on the platform. “We are celebrating Nigerian creativity, and especially today, we can all agree that Nigerians are very creative people,” it shared.
One of the goal of the project, according to Lagos Meet, is to help creators learn from and inspire each other. “Seeing the work done by a colleague in any creative field will spark new ideas and open the door to collaboration. We strongly believe that by bringing together creators with different skills, the overall quality of Nigerian creative work will get even better,” it noted.
The Lagos Meet community is home to various kinds of creators; from artists, product designers, web designers, branding specialists, animators and motion designers, virtual reality designers and developers, and other passionate creators.
Derin Owoade, Lagos Meet’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO) who led the development of the new platform, tells The Creatives Note; “I worked with many amazing people on the editorial to make it an ever-evolving space that really showcases creatives. I worked on fullstack development, and what really attracted me was its dynamic design and way of delivering content. Believe me, there's still a lot more to come!”
“We wanted to ensure that the featured creative projects in a way that let us structure content blocks tailored to the specific needs of each project. This approach also allowed us to use colours intentionally, ensuring every feature stands out and feels distinct while still introducing a consistent format and editorial layout,” Coker Oluwafemi, the founder of Lagos Meet, tells The Creatives Note.
