Lagos International Festival of Animation (LIFANIMA) returns for its 8th edition this October
This year’s edition of the festival will feature film screening, award presentation, panel sessions, networking & entertainment, and will hold from October 29 - 31, 2024 at Mike Adenuga Centre, Lagos
Lagos International Festival of Animation (LIFANIMA), one of Africa’s biggest animation festivals hosted in Lagos, is set to return for the 8th edition of the festival this October.
Presented by USP Brand Management in collaboration with the Lagos State Film and Video Censors Board and the Embassy of France in Nigeria, the festival says it “now attracts more than 1000 entries from more than 100 countries yearly.”
Established in 2017, LIFANIMA attracts Animators, Filmmakers, Investors, Financial Institutions, Advertising Agencies, Musical Video Producers, Media Practitioners, Digital Marketing Professionals, Government Agencies, Information Technology Companies, and the public. “LIFANIMA provides a platform for animators to interact with other stakeholders for optimum value creation and rapid growth of the animation industry,” it notes.

The festival gives awards in five categories: Best 2D Animation, Best Visual Effects, Stop Motion Animation, Best 3D Animation, and Best Animation Commercial.
This year’s edition of the festival will feature film screening, award presentation, panel sessions, networking and entertainment, and will hold from October 29 - 31, 2024 at Alliance Francaise, Mike Adenuga Centre, Ikoyi Lagos. “The 2024 Edition of LIFANIMA will provide a vibrant and inclusive environment for animation enthusiasts and professionals alike,” it stated.
