Kuta Art Foundation announces Stephny Nnabuenyi as the finalist of its 2023 Open Call
Stephny, a visual artist, has been selected to produce work in collaboration with the Kuta team for the November - December showcase and communal gatherings at Nest by Kuta in Abeokuta Ogun state.
In July, Kuta Art Foundation put out an open call for creatives to apply for its upcoming exhibition. Following the consideration of the applications it received, it announced Stephny Nnabuenyi as the finalist of the Kuta Open Call 2023.
Stephny, a visual artist, will be the recipient of the exhibition grant award and will receive support from the Kuta team.
The announcement stated, “We are excited to announce Stephany Nnabuenyi as the finalist of the Kuta Open Call 2023.”
“Applications opened in July of 2023 and after careful consideration, Stephny has been selected to produce work in collaboration with the Kuta team for the November - December showcase and communal gatherings at Nest by Kuta in Abeokuta Ogun state.”

Stephany is a visual artist who explores materials like vitrail glass paint on mirrors, and acrylic on used cartons to create because of their uniqueness and unconventionality. Her use of cartons comes from her roots in marine biology to address the issue of waste and to promote sustainable art
