Curatica is accepting applications for its 2023 Women in Street Art Project (WISA)
In one week, Curatica will work with the participants to boost their skills and knowledge to create stunning murals/public art/street art.
Curatica, a creative platform dedicated to nurturing the vibrant and diverse talents of emerging artists, with a particular focus on empowering young women in the world of street art and public murals, is calling on all aspiring women street artists in KwaZulu-Natal to apply for its Women in Street Art Project (WISA), a program that empowers young women to become talented street artists.
The announcement stated, “We are seeking 18 creative and driven individuals who identify as Women and are interested in public art. Whether you are a seasoned artist or a newcomer to mural painting, if you are passionate about making a mark in the world of street art, we invite you to be a part of WISA PROGRAMME 2023.”
In one week, Curatica will work with the participants to boost their skills and knowledge to create stunning murals/public art/street art. “Our dedicated mentors guide and inspire them to unleash their creativity. WISA is all about making street art accessible to everyone!” it stated.

Supported by Business Arts South Africa [BASA], the Department of Sports Arts & Culture [DSAC], Presidential Employment Stimulus [PESP], and the Creative Nestlings Foundation, the program—WISA—aims to make street art accessible to all; newbies and experienced artists.
Eligibility
Open to Women artists, illustrators, and creatives.
Must have an interest in public art and a willingness to learn and collaborate.
Artists with limited experience in mural art are encouraged to apply.
Based in KwaZulu-Natal
