V&A Waterfront, in collaboration with Creative Nestlings, has unveiled the Artist Alliance Virtual Gallery, a virtual space that showcases “captivating art created by some of South Africa's most talented creatives.”
“We're thrilled to unveil the latest addition to our platform: the Artist Alliance Virtual Gallery,” the announcement stated. “This virtual space not only allows art enthusiasts to admire and engage with incredible works but also provides a unique opportunity to purchase these exceptional pieces.” According to the announcement, every purchase directly supports the artists, ensuring that your investment contributes to their creative journey.
For the launch of the virtual space, Creative Nestling’s Nonka Mbonambi has curated the inaugural exhibition, ‘A Feminine Gaze: Women’s Perspective in Contemporary Art,’ which showcases the powerful and diverse voices of women artists. “This exhibition delves into themes of identity, gender, sexuality, race, class, power, and the deeply personal narratives and emotions of the artists,” it noted.

The exhibition, which features works by ten of South Africa's talented creatives, will run from October through November. “This powerful showcase features an impressive collection of works by ten talented artists: Lungiswa Chantell Joe, Mbhali Manzini, Naledi Modupi, Micke Buitendag, Puleng Mongale, Larissa Mwanyama, Amogelang Montjane, Leanne Van, Parusha Naidoo, and Nonka Mbonambi herself,” Creative Nestlings shared.
