The Creatives Note [TCN] is evolving
Introducing the TCN News Desk, Opinion, Insight, Opportunity and Resource Sections.
Hi subscribers/readers of
[TCN], thank you for subscribing and reading. I hope you have gotten value from following and reading the interviews we have published so far. Once again, thank you for liking, sharing, commenting, and interacting with since our first interview was published.I am writing this because I have some interesting news. I am happy to announce to you that
is evolving beyond just the interviews we publish. In the first announcement post I made about ten (10) months ago to introduce , I wrote;wants to curate, document, and tell the stories of African creatives from the lens of an African
Since then, we have published interviews and conversations with sixteen (16) African creatives ranging from brand designers to digital artists, motion designers, visual artists and designers, product designers, and creative leaders from four (4) African countries. And we have more interesting conversations lined up to be published. Watch Out!!!
While this is an important step in the right direction for telling the stories of African creatives, I believe there’s more work to be done beyond just telling the stories of creatives. Unlike the African tech, finance, political, and similar ecosystems that get a lot of people and platforms reporting on them daily, the design and creative ecosystem has few people and platforms reporting and documenting important news, events, and conversations. Therefore, we need to have more dedicated platforms that are making efforts to curate, document, and tell stories of the African creative ecosystem as a whole, that is, curate great works and report news, stories, and happenings in the ecosystem to spotlight great works, milestones, achievements, and important conversations in order to drive meaningful conversations that will move the ecosystem forward and shape the narrative in the way we want.
Introducing the TCN News Desk, Opinion, Insight, Opportunity, and Resource Sections.
