Curating, documenting, and telling the stories of African Creatives and the African creative ecosystem and why you should care.
Hi, Welcome to The Creatives Note.
If you are here, you definitely have some questions about what this is or you probably don’t even have an idea of what this is about but just found yourself here because you clicked a link, don’t worry, I will attempt to answer the fundamental questions that need answering and hopefully clarify and give context to what this is about.
What is The Creatives Note?
The Creatives Note is an attempt to curate, document, and tell the stories of African creatives and the African creative ecosystem at large.
Why The Creative Note?
For years past, African creatives have been at the forefront doing great work and doing their best to tell African stories in the best narrative possible. In recent years, there has been a lot of development in the African creative space, and with the help of technology and social media, people now have access to African content at the click of a button. While African content and products have continued to enjoy increasing reach and acceptance, more work still needs to be done on documenting and telling the stories of the creatives behind these content and products.
Therefore, The Creatives Note wants to curate, document, and tell the stories of African creatives from the lens of an African.
What to expect?
You should expect interviews with African creatives behind some of your favourite content, products, and brands, opportunities and job boards, deep dives and behind-the-scenes of some of your favourite content, products, and brands, and monthly round-ups of things happening in the African creative ecosystem.
We will cover creatives ranging from artists, cinematographers, creative leaders, designers, photographers, storytellers, and lots more across various fields, industries, and sectors.
