Bic Art Master Africa is accepting entries for the 2024 edition of its art competition.
Now in its sixth year, the Bic Art Master Africa is a Ball Pen art contest by BIC - a world leader in stationery, lighters and shavers - that “encourages talents across Africa and the Middle East to showcase their creativity and compete with fellow artists.”
With the theme; “Ubuntu Together (One Africa)” - an African philosophy that stresses our interdependence and shared humanity, this year’s edition calls on artists to illustrate the strength found in community bonds and collective harmony.
“[We] seek to continue to provide a platform for artists and creatives in the region to help them express themselves while continuing to encourage self-expression and creativity,” said Gregory Alibaux, Art Master Africa custodian and marketing director for Middle East and Africa at Bic.
Since its inception in South Africa (in 2017), the annual art competition has expanded into the wider Middle East and Africa regions and has engaged over 6,000 creatives from across the region.
The competition is open to all Africa and Middle East residents aged 13 years or older, per the announcement. “Entrants under 18 years of age must have the consent of a parent/ guardian to enter,” it noted.
According to the announcement, 3 Winners will be chosen by an expert judging panel - made up of Josué Comoe, Valérie MANOUVRIER, Alix Dufour, and Gayi Eric “Erimarz art.”
